In honor to today being Friday, the happiest, most celebrated day of the week, we would like to introduce Freestyle Friday!!  This will be a day dedicated to anything and everything that may be inspiring us and helping us make it to the weekend.  This may include anything from guest bloggers to new artists to fashion for those of us who plan to live it up the weekend.  To start this series off right we are posting our playlist top 10.  These songs are helping us make it 5 pm  and will get our weekend started off right...

Why Wednesday?!

Why does it always feel like a Monday even when your first day back is a Wednesday?

Why is everyone working overtime?

Why am I glad it’s not me?

Why did I even try to give US Airways a chance?

Why did my bag not arrive with me when I arrived home?

Why do airlines even charge to check bags?

Why did the lady I talk to about the delivery of my bag pop fly with me like I was inconveniencing her when they have my bag?

Why was I soaked after shoveling snow and it didn’t look like I did anything (there was still a ton of snow)?

My New Blackberry Catastrophe!!!

So we have decided to have a theme for Tuesday called....Technology Tuesday where we review or discuss technology related stuff. I had another story which had a happy ending (#pause), but a tragedy occurred today that took precedence, and I had to share. This post is mostly (read: partly) in jest. This is a rant/PSA/vent.

So I've had my newest phone for just over a month, we've been chilling, attached at the hip, we NEVER leave each other's side and guess what happens? Something that I heard happened to lots of other people, but never to me EVER with anything I've ever owned.

I dropped my phone in some water... not just any water but in the toilet (pre-business I assure you, but still gross :( ). To say I was distraught would be the biggest understatement of the YEAR!! So, I'm at work when this happened and tears were welling up in my eyes and I felt sick to my stomach!

I was tuning out the world (as usual) listening to a playlist on my Blackberry on Bluetooth headphones (look ma, ho hands…or cords) and I just keep the music going with my phone in my pocket throughout the day. I went into the stall and heard a loud plunk…I rushed to grab the phone, but I didn't stop the music or immediately take the phone apart after taking it out of the toilet, because well....I had some business to take care of and I was in utter shock and horror. After finishing up, I went to the sink to start to dry off the phone and wash my hands. And I was so happy that it turned back on (even though I never turned it off L ) that I hurried to take everything apart (I have an Otterbox Defender Cover which take FOREVER to remove) to dry everything.

BTW that cover didn't do anything, because everything EVERYTHING was wet. The battery, sim card, microsd card, keyboard, EVERYTHING! I know the case is not or have never been touted as being waterproof, but for $50, Imma need it to do SOMETHING other than be big and bulky and take forever to remove! Those were precious seconds!

So after looking on the internet (I had to google it) and thinking that life as I know it was over, I found out many people have experienced this as well...and for the first time since the incident I felt some semblance of hope. Thanks internet geeks (don’t worry I LOVE geeks, they make life so much easier)!! So when I went home for lunch I blow dryed the phone for a couple of minutes with the blow dryer on high and placed both the phone and battery in a bowl of rice. So now it's a waiting game and it could go either way. I’ll keep y’all posted and give you an update!

I do still have my old phone (because I have to keep a backup because you just never know) and I have insurance on the phone, but damn paying another $130 for a replacement if I don't have to! I’m praying for a Christmas/Kwanzaa/Hanukkah/New Years/MLK Day/Ground Hog's Day/Valentine's Day/President's Day/Black History Month/St. Patrick's Day/Easter miracle,

REVIEW: Tangle Teezer

I read about and saw videos on the Tangle Teezer on various websites (product website here) which made me curious to see if it really worked (Damn you internet for feeding my product junkieism). So finally tried the Tangle Teezer (TT)...well I saw a few reviews and went to buy it that day!

Ok on to the review. This brush/comb/detangling wizard is the BOMB DOT COM. Like for real. I've used it on wet hair, dry hair and flat-ironed hair, and I love it! I even bought one for my sister to use on her kids' hair and she loves it and so do her kids...no more crying and crocodile tears other than them just being dramatic.

I suppose the reason why it works so well is the number of teeth and the way they are positioned. There are no seams and the teeth have a lot of "give" which makes detangling a quick and virtually pain-free process. I have used the TT at least 4 times and each time I'm literally excited to get to the detangling process, because what used to be time consuming and a bit painful (with the denman, a wide tooth comb or sometimes even my fingers depending on how bad the tangles are) now takes about 30 minutes with oiling and preparing my braid-out. It has even made me want to cowash my hair more often, because it takes less time to wash and style!. The price isn't too bad either. I got both of mine for about 10 bucks each at Sallys.

The only complaint or issue... which isn't THAT big of an issue since the product works so well... is the shape of the product. It is bulky and a bit awkward to hold at times, but if it ain't broke... Also regarding the shape, there just seems to be a waste of space because the TT is so light-weight and it just seems like the empty compartment could've been used to store bobby pins, rubber bands or something, other than just air! I'm just saying... I'm all about conserving space and that just seems like a waste :( but the product is still awesome!

Why was I happy that they let the other BEP members sing?

Why was I giddy with excitement when Usher appeared?

Why did he almost miss that split?

Why did PV do the damn thang?!

Why don’t they just make The Game a full hour, because 30 minutes is NOT doing it for me?

Why is that silly ass show still on after the game (It just sucks!)?

Why can’t BET just extend The Game into that time slot since no one gives a damn about that trash after it?

Why did I plan on posting yesterday but fell asleep?

Why does it seem like we are slacking on the blog already?

Why am I so excited for this weekend, so I can straighten it with my maxiglide, trim, measure, and use my split ender on my hair (reviews to come!!!)?

Why have I stopped going to Starbucks every morning to get to work on time…but I still get here late?

Why will I find another company to take my money and not do anything for me?

Why are we required to have auto insurance again?

Why Wednesday

Hiya peeps, It's Miss V and it looks like I'm gonna get the ball rolling. One of the things we are gonna do weekly is Why Wednesdays. I got the idea from blog I used to read 2 Ditzy Broads. They are freaking hilarious! I sure do miss those chicks.... Anyways here are my Why's for today.

Why is it so damn cold today?

Why was today of all days the day I couldn't find my card to swipe into work?

Why did my coworker see me at the door and hesitate to come and let me in?

Why did she say she wasn't sure if I needed her to let me in?

Why else would I be bundled up standing outside the door when it's 18 degrees outside?

Why did I just give her a major side eye AFTER she let me in (I was cold NOT crazy)?

Why is it colder here in Texas than New York today?
